Located at ASCD's main office in Alexandria, Va., the Information Resource Center is a place for local educators and visitors to explore the many valuable resources the association has to offer. We are open to the public and welcome drop-in guests. However, to make the most of your visit, we encourage you to call ahead. Please see below for an overview of the services we offer to walk-in patrons.

ASCD Store

Housed in the Information Resource Center, the ASCD Store is a place for local educators and ASCD guests to browse and purchase ASCD books, videos, and multimedia products. In addition to previewing material before you buy, visiting the ASCD Store allows you to talk with our knowledgeable staff about the best ASCD products to suit your needs. An in-person visit also means that you save on shipping!

We accept all forms of payment, including credit cards, cash, checks, and purchase orders.

Personalized Research Assistance

While you're here, let the IRC staff help you find answers to your education questions. Looking for professional development material on effective instructional practices or statistics on class size? ASCD Archives

From the first issue of Educational Leadership to that out-of-print video you remember watching way back when, the ASCD Archive has it all. Containing just about everything ASCD has published since its inception, our archive holds more than 2,000 items.

Although the collection is not available for circulation, visitors are welcome to read material, make limited copies, and watch videos. The Information Resource Center can also help members take advantage of the extensive digital archive available through their membership—including every issue of EL back to the 1940s.

From I-395, take Exit 4, Seminary Road West. Turn left onto North Beauregard Street, then turn left onto Rayburn Avenue.
