About the Author
EDWARD PAJAK (1947–2014) was a professor and chair of the Department of Teacher Development and Leadership at Johns Hopkins University. He earned his bachelor's degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo and began his teaching career at the middle school level in the Buffalo and Syracuse areas. After completing a master's and doctoral degree at Syracuse University, he served on the faculties of Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Georgia, as well as in several administrative positions.
