About the Authors
HARVEY F. SILVER President of Silver Strong & Associates, was recently named as one of the 100 most influential teachers in the United States. He is the coauthor of numerous books for educators, including the best-selling Teaching Styles and Strategies, which is currently being used in the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs at 14 colleges and universities. Harvey is a member of the advisory board of the International Creative and Innovative Thinking Association.
RICHARD W. STRONG is Vice President of Silver Strong & Associates and has served as a trainer/ consultant to hundreds of school districts around the world. As cofounder of the Institute for Community and Difference, Richard has been studying democratic teaching practices in public and private schools for more than 10 years. Richard has written and developed several educational books and products, including Questioning Styles and Strategies for the Thoughtful Education Press and the Teaching Strategies Video Library for ASCD.
