About the Author
W. JAMES POPHAM has spent the bulk of his educational career as a teacher, first in a small, eastern Oregon high school, then in the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. In his nearly 30 years at UCLA, Dr. Popham taught courses in instructional methods for prospective teachers and courses in evaluation and measurement for master's and doctoral candidates.
