Full Member Access to a Rich Archive of ASCD Material

Over the years, ASCD has carried a variety of subscription publications. As member needs change, ASCD shifts to adapt to those needs. While we no longer print current issues of the publications on this page, we still believe in their value to education professionals.

As an ASCD member, you now have full access to these archived articles, which were previously available only to subscribers.

As always, we welcome your comments and questions via e-mail. You may also reach ASCD by phone at 1-800-933-2723 or 1-703-578-9600, then press 2.

Classroom Leadership

Since September 1997, Classroom Leadership served as a resource for teachers looking for practical and practiced approaches to classroom challenges. Issues of Classroom Leadership were written primarily by teachers and were linked thematically to Educational Leadership, ASCD's magazine.

Curriculum Handbook

For over a decade, ASCD's Curriculum Handbook provided in-depth examinations of trends and techniques in curriculum research in every major subject area. Handbook authors compiled information for readers and curriculum planners on the most effective methods for K-12 curriculum organization, renewal, and revision.

In 2005, ASCD elected to replace the Handbook with a new line of books, the Priorities in Practice series, the first of which, The Essentials of Mathematics, K–6, was published in 2006.

Curriculum•Technology Quarterly

For 10 years, Curriculum•Technology Quarterly (CTQ) showed how classroom educators use technology to improve learning and teaching in a particular curriculum area.

Curriculum Update

Since February 1982, Curriculum Update has served as a quarterly supplement to our member newsletter, Education Update. Beginning in January 2005, we combined the two newsletters under the Education Update name, and we no longer publish Curriculum Update. ASCD members will continue to receive 12 issues per year, all under the Education Update banner.

Journal of Curriculum and Supervision

For 20 years, the Journal of Curriculum and Supervision (JCS) provided a refereed, scholarly forum to examine, inform, and debate matters of curriculum and supervision. Summer 2005 marked the final issue of this academic tome. In 2006, ASCD began its new partnership with the International Journal of Education Policy and Leadership (IJEPL), a refereed online journal that is cosponsored by ASCD and Simon Fraser and George Mason universities.

ResearchBrief

ResearchBrief was a Web-based publication that offered practitioners and policymakers focused summaries of original, interdisciplinary, high-quality research.

In 2007, ResearchBrief was discontinued and replaced with a monthly "What Research Says About …" column in Educational Leadership.

Full ResearchBrief archives are available to members and nonmembers.
