Constituent Services directors offer these services to educators and constituent groups:
-
Provide an array of consulting services regarding organizational, management, governance, and education issues.
-
Facilitate connections and partnerships between ASCD and its constituent groups, and among constituent groups.
-
Advocate for education by supporting local influence initiatives that are compatible with ASCD's goals and values, and develop collaborative relationships with influential education groups in each region to pursue shared goals.
-
Help local educators use ASCD's products and services effectively.
-
Support quality instructional and curricular design and delivery by organizing and presenting workshops on topics of interest to local educators.

The primary functions of the directors are outreach and relationship building. This outward-looking view enables ASCD to more directly support educators in the field, make ASCD's resources more accessible to members, and respond to members' needs more quickly.
Constituent Services directors serve as advocates for the organization as a whole. They demonstrate what ASCD stands for by showing who we are and what we represent, beyond our products and services.
