What Is Your Vision for ASCD?

"Learn. Teach. Lead." The new tagline for ASCD captures what the organization has been about for more than 65 years. Through our programs, products, services, and connected communities, the goal is to continue to provide relevant, timely, and high-quality resources to meet the demands of an ever-changing world.

The key drivers of our Strategic Plan are the roadmap for ASCD's future success, which will allow us to advance the Whole Child Initiative, grow and engage ASCD's diverse community, and expand our financial capacity to accomplish our goal of being the premier educational organization in the world.

My vision for ASCD is that we are recognized around the world as being a responsive organization for the benefit of all children. We can accomplish this vision by staying true to our core beliefs, by utilizing our legislative agenda to have our collective voice heard at all levels, and by constantly repositioning ourselves as an organization as new technologies and resources emerge that will keep us relevant for the members we serve. It would be an honor to serve as President-Elect to continue working with my colleagues as we collectively Learn. Teach. Lead.
