What Is Your Vision for ASCD?

A vision is sometimes called a dream. For me, my vision for ASCD is more than that. It's a vision that includes the inspiration and framework for all ASCD hopes to achieve. The whole child is our inspiration; our framework is to deliver the ingenuity and state-of-the-art solutions through our programs, products, and services to our members. My ASCD vision would be evident by ASCD being acclaimed as the association that created the whole child transformation worldwide; recognized globally as the industry standard for professional associations; regarded as the primary association to join by educators of all ages and levels; viewed as the primary catalyst for influencing changes in policies and practices worldwide impacting children's education; perceived as poster child of all associations in engaging and connecting diverse communities dedicated to the success of each learner; and heralded as the model for professional development services provided through an expansive venue of online technologies.

To reach these visionary outcomes, I will aggressively strive to create the direction, alignment, and commitment of our ASCD staff, Board of Directors, Leadership Council, affiliates, connected communities, networks, student chapters, and membership to achieve "significance" as the association for learning, teaching, and leading.
