The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) made sweeping changes to K–12 education policies,such as accountability requirements, professional development activities, and well-rounded programs. New regulations elaborating on these changes were just released last month. This session reviews the new rules, the status of state and local implementation of the law, what the law means for schools, and how educators can get involved in this ongoing implementation process.
