Sunday was Member Appreciation Day and featured Astronaut Eileen Collins as General Session speaker, Affiliate Excellence Awards, and a jam-packed Special Presentation with ASCD author Judy Willis and actress/philanthropist Goldie Hawn.

Day Two: Saturday, March 14, 2009
Day Two: A Full Day of Events

From the opening of the Exhibit Hall to the Opening General Session to the full day of sessions in Technology Corridor and throughout the Convention Center, ASCD attendees had an array of choices for their professional development.


Day Two: Exhibit Hall

The Exhibit Hall opened on Saturday morning and featured more than 325 exhibitors offering products and services that span the entire field of education.


 

Day One: Friday, March 13, 2009
Day One: Welcome Reception

Dr. Carter and Valerie Truesdale opened the ASCD Annual Conference and Exhibit Show with a welcome reception, providing attendees to reconnect with colleagues and meet some new friends.


Day One: Working With Orlando Habitat for Humanity

Thirty-six students and advisors from the ASCD Student Chapter program spent Friday building a townhome for the local community. Participants agreed that this was a valuable opportunity to provide a service to the community where the Conference is held and to bond with one another as chapter members.
