Economic turmoil and disruptive change create an ideal opportunity for educators to step into the breach and lead the way to a positive, progressive vision for teaching and learning. This year's ASCD Teaching and Learning Conference in Atlanta, Ga., lets you take your place on the frontlines of this leadership imperative.
This is an opportunity to join forces with fellow educators from across job levels (classroom teachers, teacher leaders, and administrators of all kinds), subject areas, and student ages and abilities to craft a vision for change.
Whether you're responsible for a single classroom, a school, or an entire system, come to this conference to explore all of the many ways you can increase your personal instructional effectiveness or help your teachers be the best they can be.

- Taking on the challenges of accountability without sacrificing quality.

How to Target Your Learning Needs:
Over the course of two and a half days, choose from more than 80 unique two-hour sessions from a diverse panel of educators. You can attend up to five sessions.
Each session is designated with an experience level to guide you in attending sessions that target your learning needs.
- Audience Level: Elementary, Middle, Secondary, Higher Education, and All Fields
- Audience: Superintendents, Central Office Staff, School-Based Administrators, Teacher Leaders, Teachers, All Job Fields
- Session Level:
- Introductory—designed for participants with limited or no previous experience with content.
- Experienced—designed for participants who are familiar with the content but want more information.
- Advanced—designed for participants who are very familiar with the content, but want more advanced information.
- All—designed for all levels.

Conference Activities
The Making Connections Welcome Reception
On Thursday, October 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., be sure to attend the Making Connections Welcome Reception and visit the ASCD Resource Center. Pick up your conference materials and enjoy light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Meet ASCD authors and presenters and network with others from your region and around the world.

All Pre-Conference and Conference sessions require a volunteer. In return for your assistance, you will receive a voucher that you can use toward registration for any ASCD Professional Development Institute in the 2012–13 year or for the 2013 Annual Conference, 2013 Conference on Teaching Excellence (Summer Conference), or 2013 Conference on Educational Leadership (Fall Conference).

Participant Name Badges
Easy On-Site Express Check-In Information
Prior to the conference, you will receive via e-mail a bar code that allows you to check yourself in when you arrive on-site.
Either print this bar code and bring it with you, or access it on-site with your mobile device. Go to the ASCD registration area to scan your bar code and print your badge. Name badges must be worn at all times.
