Presentation Materials
We are no longer providing paper handouts for our conference sessions or Pre-Conference Institutes.
As a registered attendee, you can download the presentation materials for the Teaching and Learning Conference and Pre-Conference Institutes. Registered participants will receive a notification of session presentation materials via e-mail approximately two weeks prior to the conference.
All session presentation materials will be posted on the ASCD website as PDFs and will be available for download from October 11, 2012, until November 29, 2012. In early October, we will send details via e-mail, including the web address and log-in information.
We encourage participants to either bring a laptop on site to view the materials or bring the printed materials.
Download Pre-Conference and Conference Presentation Materials
We now have note-taking capabilities with presentation materials. To make it possible for you to take electronic notes, we provide the following options:
- Option 1: If you have Adobe Acrobat Standard or higher, you can use your PC or Mac to type notes directly on the PDF presentation materials.
- Option 2: If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Standard or higher, you can still use your PC or Mac to type notes directly on the PDF presentation materials by using Adobe Reader.
Download Instructions
Once you receive information via e-mail for downloading your presentation materials, you may access your them by visiting the downloads page and following the steps below:
- Log in with your username and password in the member sign-in area.
- Select the Pre-Conference Institute or conference you will be attending.
- To download a file, click on the green arrow next to the file name.
Meeting rooms may not have wireless access and will have limited electric outlets. Please make sure you download your presentation materials prior to leaving for Atlanta and that your laptop is charged each morning. We encourage you to download the materials to your laptop or print copies and bring them with you to the sessions. There will be charging stations throughout the common areas.
For iPad and iPhone users: You may need a special app to view the presentation materials or take notes. Several apps are available for interactive PDF usage; however, they may require a purchase fee.
Presentation materials are intended for participants' personal use only. Further reproduction and dissemination, in whole or part, requires the permission of the various owners as credited within the presentation materials. ASCD publications present a variety of viewpoints. The views expressed or implied in the presentation materials are not necessarily official positions of ASCD.
