Sample Daily Schedule

Below is a typical daily Professional Development Institute schedule. For some institutes, the schedule may vary slightly. Registered participants will receive an e-mail closer to the institute dates for additional information about exact meeting room locations.

On-site registration: 7:30–8:30 a.m. (complimentary coffee, tea, and pastries)
Session begins: 8:30 a.m.
15-minute break: Between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m.
Lunch (on your own): Between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
15-minute break: Between 2:00 and 2:30 p.m.
Session adjourns: 3:30 p.m.

All other meals are on your own.

Academic Credit

Continuing Education Units

Upon completion of any ASCD workshop or conference, you will receive a certificate of completion from ASCD. The certificate includes 5.5–27.5 clock hours that you can use toward continuing education credit in most states.
