ASCD Debuts Digital 2011 Annual Report

Philadelphia, PA (03/26/2012)—ASCD is proud to announce the release of the association’s 2011 Annual Report, entitled “Creating Revolution: The Next Chapter in the ASCD Story.” Designed to convey the perspective of real educators, the report details how each component of ASCD’s work in 2011 positively affected the education practice. The exclusively digital report is easy to access and share on Internet-ready devices anywhere in the world.

Through the stories, interviews, audio clips, and user-generated videos included in the report, visitors will learn from real educators how each facet of ASCD’s revolution has strengthened and supported their practice, creating opportunities for learners everywhere.

“In 2011, ASCD set out to revitalize and refocus on our best work to ensure that in years to come, we remain the global leader in providing the programs, products, and services that empower educators to support the success of each learner,” said ASCD Executive Director and CEO Dr. Gene Carter. “This report tells that story, incorporating educator voices from around the world.”

The report is divided into three sections: The Relationships section enables ASCD members and nonmembers to explore the exciting new relationships ASCD is forming and learn how the association is helping members of its community network. The Practice and Process section shares stories that capture ASCD’s commitment to creating and delivering the best educator resources. And the Innovation and Design section shows how ASCD offerings continue to evolve, better leveraging technology to meet educators where they learn, teach, and lead.

ASCD’s 2011 Annual Report is available in an iPad- and smartphone-compatible format at For more information about ASCD or to become a member, visit
