Alexandria, VA (02/24/2016)—ASCD, a community dedicated to excellence in learning, teaching, and leading, and BAM! Radio Network, the largest all-education talk radio network in the world, have announced a new program for educators, “ASCD Learn Teach Lead Radio.” The new show will have weekly episodes hosted by a rotating group of ASCD Emerging Leaders and featuring guests such as ASCD authors, leaders, presenters, and educators from all roles. Listeners can find all episodes of the show here beginning March 1.
“Through our work in the field, outreach on social media, interactions at conferences and events, and efforts in many other places, ASCD is committed to hosting and participating in productive conversations about the topics that matter to educators today and influence the success of each child. This new partnership with BAM! Radio Network is an exciting opportunity to spark new, engaging discussions,” said Deborah S. Delisle, ASCD executive director and CEO. “By tapping into the impressive audience of educators BAM! Radio has attracted through its existing programming and adding new voices and perspectives from ASCD experts and practitioners, we have a wonderful opportunity to enhance the reach and caliber of conversations about essential education topics.”
This new program will provide real educators with a platform to engage in meaningful dialogue about the topics and issues that matter most in education. Listeners can expect to hear discussions about principal leadership, teacher leadership and effectiveness, student engagement, best practices for professional learning, assessment strategies, poverty and equity, and many more key subjects.
“For almost a decade, BAM! Radio Network has been amplifying and connecting the voices of thoughtful educators around the globe. More than ever, responding to the complex challenges ahead requires access to the widest pool of great thinking possible. ASCD is home to some of the most respected, leading-edge thinkers in the field of education. We are thrilled to partner with ASCD to push beyond the echo chambers and help bring fresh perspectives and emerging voices into the global education discussion,” said Errol St.Clair Smith, executive producer of BAM! Radio Network.
