Alexandria, VA (11/20/2014)—ASCD, a global community dedicated to excellence in learning, teaching, and leading, is pleased to announce that SAFARI Montage joins Discovery Education as the second lead sponsor for its 70th Annual Conference and Exhibit Show, to be held in Houston, Texas, from March 21–23, 2015. SAFARI Montage provides K–12 school districts with a fully integrated Digital Learning Platform, including a Learning Object Repository, Video Streaming Library, IPTV and Live Media Streaming, designed to handle video efficiently.
"ASCD is excited to welcome SAFARI Montage as a lead sponsor for our 2015 Annual Conference and Exhibit Show," said Judy Seltz, ASCD executive director. "We look forward to an outstanding conference that will provide an immersive professional development and networking experience for educators from all backgrounds and at all levels, and we’re very pleased that SAFARI Montage is joining us.”
The conference’s first general session, held on Saturday, March 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., is sponsored by SAFARI Montage. In this session, “The Rise: Creativity, the Gift of Failure, and the Search for Mastery,” presenter Sarah Lewis will offer a new understanding of what enables creative endeavors. Drawing on famous figures such as Frederick Douglass, Angela Duckworth, and J. K. Rowling, Lewis will reveal how play, grit, surrender, dismissed ideas, experiments, and follow-ups lead to breakthroughs. Lewis believes that the path to success may be more surprising than you think.
SAFARI Montage will also present a networking luncheon, “An Ecosystem for Digital Age Learning,” on Sunday, March 22, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Americas-Houston hotel. Tim Clark, director of learning innovation for SAFARI Montage, will be the luncheon’s featured speaker. Clark has more than 25 years of experience as an educator and provides digital convergence guidance to SAFARI Montage customers through high-level strategic planning and hands-on professional development services in his current role.
“We are all living in a time of transformational migration to digital instruction in K–12,” said Andrew Schlessinger, CEO and cofounder of SAFARI Montage. “ASCD has established itself as a leader of this change and we are honored to support its efforts.”
SAFARI Montage’s full suite of integrated products gives educators and administrators a single interface for accessing all visual resources, whether from inside the school district intranet or from home. The award-winning SAFARI Montage Video-On-Demand and Digital Media Management enterprise solution is designed to cut costs for school districts by utilizing intelligent digital media delivery, while facilitating visual instruction and learning in the classroom. SAFARI Montage servers come preloaded with curriculum-based educational videos from the industry’s leading video publishers, including Schlessinger Media, PBS, the History Channel, National Geographic, Scholastic, Disney Education, BBC, and more.
