Fees

 $493 (Nonmembers)

ASCD provides a continental breakfast each day. Participants are expected to provide their own lunches and dinners.

Registration for the 2008 Summer Conference on Differentiated Instruction, Understanding by Design, and What Works In Schools does not include registration to the Pre-Conference Institutes.

Payment Must Accompany Registration

Terms

Registrations are accepted on a full payment, first-come, first-served basis only. ASCD processes confirmations within 48 hours after receipt of registration.

Confirmation

ASCD mails confirmations 48 hours after receipt of registration. If you do not receive a confirmation letter, call the ASCD Service Center to determine the status of your registration at 1-800-933-ASCD or 1-703-578-9600. Make sure you press 2 when you reach the main menu.

Note: Do not make nonrefundable travel arrangements until you have received your registration confirmation letter from ASCD.

Save When You Register as a Team

Every fifth person who registers from your school or district may attend the 2008 Summer Conference, the pre-conference institutes, or both for free. All team members must register at the same time and for the same choice of events whether it's the conference, the pre-conference institutes or both. All five registration forms must be mailed together. (For pre-conference institutes, you must include materials fees with your registration forms.)

Join ASCD When You Register

You can join ASCD as a Comprehensive Member for only $25 when you register at the nonmember rate. You will get a full year of ASCD Comprehensive Membership, which includes

• Five new ASCD books
• Member discounts on products and any future registrations

Ticketed Sessions

You can reserve seating at the ticketed sessions that you wish to attend.

NOTE: The Welcome Reception does not require advance reservations.

If you need a sign language interpreter or other special assistance, notify ASCD when you register.

Program Cancellation

While unlikely, ASCD reserves the right to cancel programs because of low registration. In the event of a cancellation, all registrants will be notified and will receive full refunds. Do not make non-refundable airline reservations until you contact ASCD to find out if your program is being considered for cancellation.

No Show

If you are unable to attend the 2008 Summer Conference Schools or Pre-Conference Institute that you registered for, notify ASCD in writing or by e-mail at cancel@ascd.org 14 calendar days before the start of either event to request a credit voucher or refund. A $35 cancellation fee will be charged ($50 if canceling both conference and pre-conference registrations).

We encourage you to send someone in your place. To do so, call ASCD at 1-800-933-2723 or 1-703-578-9600 and press 2 when you reach the main menu to notify a Service Center consultant of your substitution.
