What Is ResearchBrief?
ResearchBrief was a Web-based publication that offered practitioners and policymakers monthly, focused summaries of original, interdisciplinary, high-quality research.
ResearchBrief presented an overview of a recent study—including the
• research questions
• data sources
• implications for policy and practice
• broader context of related research resources and tools
A panel of nationally renowned scholars and practitioners oversaw the production of ResearchBrief. Points of view expressed in these articles do not necessarily reflect the views of ASCD or the Board of Advisors for ResearchBrief. ASCD cannot warrant the information contained on external sites.

ResearchBrief Discontinued
Additional Education Research Resources Available
After much consideration and contemplation of feedback we have received, we have decided that ResearchBrief in its current form no longer meets the needs of many of today's educators. For that reason, we have decided to discontinue ResearchBrief after the June 2007 edition. The full ResearchBrief archives are open to the public.
However, ASCD will continue to assist educators in staying up-to-date on the latest research and also help translate that research into sound classroom and school practice. Some of the ways you can continue to access research synopses and implications are

Educational Leadership, ASCD's flagship publication, will be adding more research-based content during the 2007–08 publishing year. In addition, EL is currently planning a new research column that will debut during the 2007–08 publishing year. If you are interested in writing about research for EL, please contact the EL staff.

The online International Journal of Education Policy & Leadership is a free, refereed scholarly journal cosponsored by ASCD, George Mason University in Virginia, and Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. IJEPL is dedicated to enriching the education policy and leadership knowledge base and to promoting exploration and analysis of policy alternatives.

ASCD Infobrief is the quarterly policy publication that provides concise information on current education issues to administrators, teachers, families, policymakers, journalists, and others. It is mailed to all ASCD Premium members and is also available as a subscription for $12.50 per year.
