Veteran instructional coaches Carol O'Connor and Patricia Remissong (formerly Reynolds) share leadership strategies for unlocking the power of instructional coaching to improve teacher practice in K–12 schools and advocate for instructional coaching for all teachers as the foundation of a strategic and differentiated professional development plan. In this two-day institute, leaders will learn how to identify coaching talent, organize a coaching program, and focus the work of coaches.

CAROL O'CONNOR is an international educational consultant who specializes in teacher and administrator professional development and has been involved with school-based coaching for the past 20 years. O'Connor has worked with and coached teachers in Hong Kong, Australia, Turkey, and Dubai. An ASCD Faculty member, her special interests include supporting professional learning communities in schools and building school cultures where learning thrives.
PATRICIA REMISSONG (formerly Reynolds) has served as a middle school teacher, assistant principal, and principal in New York City Public Schools. She is a graduate of the New York City Leadership Academy and a recipient of the Brooklyn Bridge Doctoral Fellowship from St. John's University for her work in raising the academic achievement of New York City Public Schools' students. As an ASCD Faculty member, she coaches teachers and trains instructional coaches throughout the United States.
