Donna L. Knoell is an education consultant and author who works with schools, districts, and groups of professionals to help them improve their instructional programs. She speaks and consults worldwide on key topics in reading/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Knoell is a noted expert in content literacy, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and problem solving in mathematics. She is also well-known in the field of visual literacy, and she has authored two papers on the topic. She has also authored numerous instructional materials. Knoell has a rich, broad-based background in education. She is a former classroom teacher and has served as a program developer, curriculum developer, and instructional specialist in a large suburban school district.
