What better place to introduce the habits of mind than in the early childhood classroom, where students are learning and socializing together in an environment that is designed for activities that stimulate thinking? The habits are a set of dispositions that will serve students well as they grow into effective communicators, problem solvers, and creative and critical thinkers.
In this engaging webinar, Bena Kallick and Art Costa, and their guest Terry Thoren from Wonder Media share stories of practice from many different schools, each dedicated to using the habits of mind as a part of their vision for defining "readiness." They focus particularly on the amazing power of using animations as a key tool for students to learn about the habits—what they mean, how they work, and how students can use them in their own lives.
