The Virtual Learning Network (VLN) consists of virtually connected educators meeting through webinars and social media. Webinar content centers on topics of interest and participants’ areas of need as related to the Common Core State Standards. This page houses the collection of social studies webinars conducted by Mark Barnes and Krista Rundell from December 2013 through March 2015 at the conclusion of the two-year project (Due to technical difficulties we are unable to provide the May 2014 webinar archive).
While the project has ended, we welcome you to continue the conversation about problems of practice related to the CCSS in subject-specific groups on ASCD’s social networking platform for educators, ASCD EDge (see below for details). ASCD EDge communities and webinar archives are also available for science, mathematics, and English language arts through the main VLN page.
