Virginia Rojas
Virginia Rojas travels extensively around the world to develop language programs and conduct training. Rojas is working with the Ministry of Education's Model Schools in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, as well as with American-sponsored schools in South America, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Africa. She is recognized for her leadership and her commitment to the development of second language proficiency among school populations, especially within an inclusionary context. She believes that strategies for assisting English language learners in K–12 settings are beneficial for all learners and that ESL and classroom teachers need to work together to provide a seamless language development and educational program. Rojas is the author of "ESLWISE!"—a regular column in The International Educator for the New Jersey Department of High Education. Rojas has received degrees in language education, teaching English to speakers of other languages, and educational philosophy from Ohio State University and Rutgers University.
