Linda Torp is the chief education officer for Success Lab, Inc., of Chicago; former director for academic planning, research, and evaluation at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora; and a facilitator for ASCD's Problem-Based Learning Network, PBL Net (Web site:http://www.imsa.edu/team/cpbl/pbln/).
