Recently I had the pleasure of coming close to understanding the thrill science teachers experience when they conduct an amazing experiment in class and their students are left in awe and wonder. The occasion was a workshop on inquiry that I conducted at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City during one of its summer institutes for educators.
