During my career, I was trained to individualize, differentiate, authentically assess, and curriculum map. I have been inclusioned and teamed, open-spaced and multiaged. They were worthy ideas that were tried, found to be difficult, and then abandoned, only to rise again with a new spin. Through the years, master teaching has held to the same core principles, and within this core is the essence of what students need and RTI requires. This is what compassionate and competent RTI teaching is all about.
