In Memoriam: Dr. Lucille G. Jordan

      ASCD is saddened to announce the death of Dr. Lucille G. Jordan. Dr. Jordan, age 91, passed away on February 15, 2013.
      Dr. Jordan served as ASCD president from 1981–1982. She was a classroom teacher before receiving her doctorate at the University of Georgia. She also served as Director of Program Development for the Atlanta schools, Associate State Superintendent of the Georgia schools, and Professor of Education at UGA.
      The ASCD community sends condolences to Dr. Jordan’s family. We join them in mourning her loss.
