If you are entitled to vote in this year's election, you may vote online or return the paper ballot enclosed with this newsletter. To vote online, go to https://my.ascd.org, enter your Member ID and password, and follow the instructions.

If you prefer to return the paper ballot, please use a blue or black ink pen to complete it and then drop it in the mail, postmarked no later than November 16, 2009. Postage is paid for the return of ballots and there is no need to place the postcard in an envelope—the return address appears on the other side of the ballot. You must sign and date the ballot as required in §13.1-848 of Virginia Code, or your ballot will not be counted. You'll vote for President-Elect, members of the Board of Directors, and at-large members of the Leadership Council.

You may not have received a ballot. According to ASCD's Constitution, not every member has voting privileges. If you hold a complimentary or ASCD Express membership, or if your payment was not processed as of August 17, 2009, you are not entitled to vote. (Holders of multiple memberships may vote only once.)
