Translating Student Voice into Student Action
During this webinar, ASCD authors Lauren Fullmer and Laura Bond will provide an overview of the five Students Taking Action Together (STAT) strategies, share examples of how to incorporate them in daily practice, and offer educators and school leaders advice for launching STAT in their district or educational setting.
STAT strategies complement existing social studies, English language arts, and history curricula in the upper-elementary, middle, and high school levels, and they are aligned with SEL competencies and active civic practices. Incorporating these strategies into lessons is a way to meet students' natural desire to be heard.
