Member Vote on the ASCD and ISTE Merger
On November 14, 2022, ASCD members will vote on the Plan of Merger with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) at an Annual Meeting either in person or by electronic proxy.

About the Proposed Merger with ISTE
The ASCD Board of Directors approved a plan to merge with ISTE, the International Society of Technology in Education.
ASCD and ISTE Boards of Directors unanimously agreed to the merger.
As an ASCD member, you have the right to vote on the Plan of Merger, which includes the Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation.
There are two ways you can share your approval, in-person or electronically.
In person: Each individual who was a Member of ASCD as of September 28, 2022, is eligible to cast one vote on the merger by attending the Annual Meeting to be held on November 14, 2022, from Noon–1 p.m. Eastern Time, at ASCD's headquarters, 2800 Shirlington Road, Suite 1001, Arlington, Virginia 22206.
Electronically: Each eligible Member of ASCD may cast one vote on the merger by submitting a proxy using this electronic system. A proxy will allow Dr. Avis Williams, ASCD Board President, to cast the Member's vote, either in accordance with specific directions given by the Member on how to vote, or in Dr. Williams' discretion.
If approved, ASCD and ISTE would operate under their brands, as two divisions of a newly created nonprofit with new bylaws.

Am I Eligible to Vote?
If your annual membership was processed and paid in full as of September 28, 2022, you are eligible to vote. (Holders of multiple memberships may vote only once.) Monthly membership holders are not eligible to vote unless you have 12 consecutive months of paid membership as of September 28, 2022.
