Karen left public service in May 2004 and currently works with school districts across the United States on school improvement and professional development activities. A resident of Arizona since her early teen years, Karen likes the desert and the Southwest lifestyle. She enjoys travel, swimming, reading, and spending time with her two young granddaughters.
