Sarena Shivers is the Deputy Executive Director of the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators and has served as a public-school educator for thirty years. Shivers' professional accomplishments include the creation of transformational initiatives focused on adolescent literacy, writing, mathematics, STEM, school leadership, instructional technology, and secondary learning and instruction. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Morgan State University, master's degree in administration and supervision from Ball State University, and doctorate in educational leadership and policy analysis from Indiana University.
