Once the RTI Intervention Team and problem-solving process are established, the RTI Leadership Planning Team will turn its attention to ensuring that staff members use the RTI process efficiently and effectively. To this end, planning team members may find themselves engaged in the following types of activities:
- Monitoring implementation. This includes checking on how well the RTI process is working by considering such things as student performance data and intervention team workload.
- Assessing staff members' participation in the RTI process. This includes seeking staff feedback, ascertaining their perceptions, and tracking staff use.
- Supporting staff members. This includes providing professional development, making resources available, and coaching.
- Reflecting on next steps and planning enhancements. This includes asking staff for input, identifying areas for further focus, and planning enhancements to the RTI process.
