They spend very little of their time defending the status quo. Instead, they are open to ideas. They want to be in touch with trends and issues. They know that true educators, whatever their roles, have the huge responsibility of preparing their schools, their students, and their communities for a fast-changing world. They know very well that meeting the education needs of the whole child is more than a yearlong program. It is a lifetime commitment."
