ASCD Board Action

      • policies and practices intended to achieve greater equity in schools,
      • provision of quality care and education programs for young children, and
      • efforts to improve teacher education and professional development.
      The latter two positions were designated by the Board for special attention in the year ahead. Action plans outlining what steps ASCD will take to support these two positions will be drafted this spring for Executive Council approval.
      In other action, the Board approved the addition of a 69th affiliate, Hong Kong ASCD.
