ASCD Names 1994 Annual Conference Speakers

      • Charles Fowler, director of National Cultural Resources, Inc. Fowler is an author and advocate for the arts in education.
      • Floretta Dukes McKenzie, president of the McKenzie Group. A former District of Columbia superintendent of schools who has also served in the U.S. Department of Education's Office of School Improvement, McKenzie is a well-known education consultant.
      • Michael Fullan, dean of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Education. Fullan is a researcher, trainer, and policy adviser on a wide range of projects seeking change in education.
      • Jamake Highwater, author. Highwater has written many books about Native American culture.
      To obtain a Conference Preview, fill out and return the postcard recently mailed to all ASCD members. The Conference Preview will also appear in the November 1993 issue of Educational Leadership. Registrations will be accepted at ASCD headquarters until February 18, 1994. Those received before December 15, 1993, will qualify for a reduced fee. No purchase orders will be accepted after January 8, 1994. One may also register on-site for a slightly increased fee.
