Cynthia Anderson

Current Position:Director of middle grades curriculum, Griffin Spalding County (Georgia) School System
Education: B.S., Auburn University; M.Ed., State University of West Georgia; D.Ed., University of Georgia
Career History and Highlights:Director of elementary education, director of professional learning, elementary school principal, middle school instructional lead teacher, elementary school teacher. Currently, job responsibilities include supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricular content for all middle school courses; providing professional learning to teachers; and facilitating the accreditation process for the district. Member of the Georgia State Council for SACS-CASI and a trained district accreditation chairperson. Peer reviewer for theMiddle School Journal.

Gary Babiuk

Career History and Highlights:Total of 34 years of education experience, including classroom teacher, 10 years; divisional curriculum coordinator, 1 year; vice principal, 3 years; principal, 8 years; teacher educator, 10 years. Taught a variety of curriculum and instruction courses at the University of Alberta, University of Lethbridge, Lake Superior State University, University of North Dakota, University of Minnesota–Duluth, and the University of Manitoba at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Taught professional development courses in Guyana and Jamaica with the Canadian Teachers Federation Project Overseas.
