An article in the June 1999 issue of Education Update incorrectly stated that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) had commissioned Virginia Meiers of Wayland Baptist University to write a textbook. The TEA does not commission authors to write textbooks or advocate the adoption of any specific text. Education Update regrets the error.
