    Instructional Strategies
The best way to understand effective instructional leadership practices is to see them. In the Wallace Foundation's video series "School Leadership in Action," principals open their doors to discuss and model ways they improve teaching and learning in their schools. The videos follow principals such as Kimberly Washington at Hyattsville Middle School in Maryland, who discusses how to create a hospitable, safe learning environment in schools, and Jacqueline K. Haynes at Florida's Howard W. Blake High School, who grooms her assistant principals for future leadership roles. Overall, the series aims to give administrators ideas and action steps to take to improve their leadership skills.
