ASCD's fall conference takes place October 30–November 1, 2009, in Washington, D.C. This conference will address education questions, such as, what are the education practices that are helping schools aim higher and farther? How can educators, in a single classroom or systemwide, ensure that students acquire the knowledge and skills for lifelong learning? Which policies and practices hold the most potential for better results faster?
Two pre-conference institutes will be held on October 29: Supervising the Art and Science of Teaching in the 21st Century, conducted by Robert Marzano; and Helping Learning Leaders Succeed in the 21st Century, conducted by Pam Robbins.
