      • <LINK URL="http://nces.ed.gov/pubs2009/2009307.pdf">Late High School Dropouts: Characteristics, Experiences, and Changes Across Cohorts</LINK>. National Center for Education Statistics (June 2009).This 2002 study examines high school sophomores who later dropped out of high school and compares them with late dropouts from previous years.
      • <LINK URL="http://www.drdouglas.org/drdpdfs/Gentile_Pathological_VG_Use_2009e.pdf">Pathological Video-Game Use Among Youth Ages 8–18</LINK>. Iowa State University and National Institute on Media and the Family (June 2009).This report concludes that 8 percent of youth in this age range are pathological videogame players. These students generally have more problems in school, get lower grades, and have worse health than their peers.
