- Charter School Laws Across the States: 2011 Ranking and Scorecard. The Center for Education Reform (January 2011). This recent report reveals that only 11 states and the District of Columbia got a score of A or a B when determining whether their laws are charter school–friendly.
- Conflicting Missions and Unclear Results: Lessons from the Education Stimulus Funds. Bellwether Education Partners (December 2010). This study analyzes how American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus funds allotted for education reform were spent. The study concludes that most of the goals of the stimulus funding have not been met but that leaders can learn lessons from the program that can inform future budgetary and reform decisions.
- Persistence and Attainment of 2003–04 Beginning Postsecondary Students: After 6 Years. U.S. Department of Education, National Center for Education Statistics (December 2010). This report presents findings from a longitudinal study that collected information over a period of six years describing the "enrollment and employment experiences of a national sample of undergraduates who began their postsecondary education for the first time in the 2003–04 academic year." The findings show that 49 percent of students who enrolled in college in 2003–04 earned some type of credentials by June 2009 and that about one-third of enrollees dropped out before June 2009.
