Among the findings of this report examining physical education classes in the United States were that only six states require physical education in grades K–12, only half of students have the class every week, and 33 states allow students to do another physical activity instead of physical education.
This study states that nearly one-third of 25- to 29-year-olds have at least a bachelor's degree. It also found that, in the same age group, nearly 90 percent have some form of a high school degree and 63 percent have some college education.
