The selection committee received more than 200 nominations from around the globe. All nominations testify to remarkable accomplishments by scores of today's young educators, the future leaders of the profession.
The ASCD Outstanding Young Educator Award highlights the work of an educator under the age of 40 who demonstrates exemplary commitment and exceptional contribution to the profession while being creative and innovative at increasing student achievement. The award winner will be profiled in Educational Leadership magazine, receive an ASCD institutional membership for his or her school or district, and receive a check for $10,000.
