As part of the Teach to Lead initiative, teachers can now apply for a Teacher Impact Grant. The grants ($5,000–15,000) will be awarded to innovative teacher projects and administered by ASCD, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, the Helmsley Charitable Trust, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Apply by June 16. Also, consider participating in an upcoming Teach to Lead summit in Minneapolis, Minn. (July 23–24) or Long Beach, Calif. (September 25–26). Learn more at www.teachtolead.org.
