During her more than 30-year career, Beverly Flaten has served as an adjunct professor for several universities and an education consultant to countless school districts. A codeveloper of both the Trait Model for Writing and the Comprehensive School Improvement Model, Flaten provides interactive and engaging workshops and in-classroom coaching support to districts and schools. She keynotes national and international conferences, sharing best practices on topics such as school improvement, ELA CCSS, disciplinary literacy, six traits of writing, English language learners, creative and critical thinking, professional learning communities (PLCs), and professional learning teams.
