Brian Charest is an assistant professor at the University of Redlands School of Education. He is coeditor of Unsettling Education: Searching for Ethical Footing in a Time of Reform (Peter Lang Publishing, 2020), and author of the book Civic Literacy in Schools and Communities: Teaching and Organizing for a Revitalized Democracy (Teachers College Press, 2021).
