Christina Pirzada is the Program Manager of Content at Newsela. In her role, she focuses on content design and development, including Newsela’s Social Emotional Learning (SEL) offering. Previously, Christina taught all subjects at the middle school grades with a focus on literacy and ELL. She later served as an instructional coach, developing network-wide curriculum, assessments, and professional development for staff. A Teach for America alumna who is passionate about community and supporting teachers, Christina organizes a local meetup group for teachers and fosters literacy opportunities with children around the Bay Area.
