Gerry M. Swan is an associate professor at the University of Kentucky in the Learning Design & Technology program. Through his OTIS (Open Tools for Instructional Support) initiative, he has built free online tools that support workflow for implementing practices such as portfolio assessment, performance assessment, standards-based reporting, progress monitoring, and online training for teachers and students.
