Ron Pelfrey has led the evaluation of more than 300 elementary, middle, and high school mathematics programs and has trained several hundred teachers and administrators in the process of conducting these reviews. Before returning to the classroom in 2004, Dr. Pelfrey was a mathematics supervisor for 20 years. A recipient of the Outstanding Mathematics Educator Award in Kentucky, he has served as an adjunct professor of mathematics education at the University of Kentucky and as the chair of the Department of Education and associate professor of mathematics at Midway College in Midway, Kentucky. He is the co-author of Mathematics: Applications and Connections (Book 1, Book 2, and Book 3), the leading middle school mathematics series in the United States.
